| Connection type | Typical bandwidth | Estimated duration |
|---|---|---|
| Slow DSL / Mobile 3G | 5 Mbps | 15m 23s |
| 4G LTE / Standard Broadband | 25 Mbps | 3m 5s |
| Fast Home Wi-Fi (50 Mbps) | 50 Mbps | 1m 33s |
| High-Speed Cable (100 Mbps) | 100 Mbps | 47 seconds |
| Fast 5G / Fiber (300 Mbps) | 300 Mbps | 16 seconds |
| Gigabit Fiber (1000 Mbps) | 1000 Mbps | 5 seconds |
Why is upload speed usually slower than download speed?
Most residential internet connections (cable and VDSL) are asymmetric: a 100 Mbps download connection often has an upload speed of only 10–20 Mbps. Fiber connections are symmetrical (e.g. 300 Mbps up and down). Check your speed test to verify your actual upload speed.
