# LimeShare

LimeShare is a high-speed, zero-knowledge temporary file transfer and sharing utility. Files are encrypted in the sender's browser with AES-256-GCM before transmission, piped directly to zero-egress encrypted edge storage clusters, and decrypted locally by the recipient. The server stores only ciphertext and hashes of access tokens — never keys, file names, or plaintext.

## Core Capabilities
- Client-Side Encryption: AES-256-GCM STREAM authenticated framing (LSC1 open container format).
- Free Limits: Up to 3 files, 3 GB per file (9 GB total per transfer batch) with zero registration.
- Flexible Retention: Automatically purged after 48 hours (or 1h, 6h, 24h, or burn on first download).
- Zero-Egress Storage: Direct browser-to-edge streaming pipeline with no bandwidth fees or throttling.
- LimeDrop (P2P): WebRTC DataChannel transfer directly between devices on local Wi-Fi without cloud storage.
